I think a lot of us are starting to fear the potential deflation that our economy is headed in. You will notice that the cheaper gas prices and the limited amount of international trade are an indication that the supply and demand that normally keeps the economy functioning properly, is completely screwy right now. 

The harm in deflation is that people tend to not spend as much because they know that prices will soon drop due to the low demand for products. Though holding off for the cheaper prices are usually a smart idea when it comes to saving money, it now has the potential to exacerbate our current economic condition. And right now I am hoping that the administration has a good plan for redirecting the economy.

Since we now are officially in a recession many of us are not able to afford the things that we used to and therefore are not spending as much. Even if you have won the lottery or are receiving some type of settlement it still remains difficult to keep our heads above water.
