If I Won the Lottery...

Taking advantage of good fortune.

I am so broke that I owe money to myself. That means, in my next paycheck I am paying myself back before I can think about paying any bills. But that's OK, I'm not letting that keep me down because there is always hope. In my family, we are believers in signs, and this morning I woke up with itchy palms and feet which is an obvious omen of monetary advantage "Hmmmm..." I thought to myself, "I should pay the lotto"! what if I did win the lottery? In my fantasy world I would win an amount where I could afford to do anything I want and to never work again. Lets consider my fantasy world Plan A. In my second plan - Plan B, I still win the lottery but the payouts arent sufficient enough to live off of. So what do I do? I still need to pay off my student loans and other debt that I have accumulated while putting myself through school (conveniently finishing right before our economic quandary where a lack of decent jobs somehow over qualifies me for the majority of the available jobs but I digress). It makes no sense to wait year after year to make minimal payments, especially with my debt. It would be nice to have the regular income coming in, but when that money is already allocated then why not pay it off right away? It makes more sense to forgo the payment installments and pay in a desirable lump sum. Great! Now that I have figured things out, its time for me to buy that lottery ticket.
